I photograph Los Angeles (mostly) with an iPhone and a Nikon D5000. Lines, shapes and contrasts interest me far more than colors, and my iPhone is making me more of a street photographer than I’d ever have imagined.
The Occasional Odd Thought is the tumblelog where I do all my liking and reblogging, along with posting my photos that wouldn’t work as well on my photoblog.

You can also find me on Starmatic @dodgemedlin. I joined in a fit of pique during the sturm und drang over Instagram’s terms of service.

In this brand new year of 2013, I hope that I would be able to continue sustaining my analogue life without any obstruction and opposition. Here are my 5 resolutions to be achieved in this year.
Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival (哈尔滨国际冰雪节)Want to see more photos? Visit the 松花江 | Songhua River, 冰雪大世界 | Ice & Snow World, and 太阳岛 | Sun Island location pages on Instagram.
Every January, the city of Harbin in frigid northeastern China gets its moment in the sun. Tourists flock to Harbin and endure temperatures as low as -35º Celsius (-31º Fahrenheit) to see massive snow and ice sculptures built from the nearby Songhua River’s frozen surface. At night, lights illuminate the ice and snow inside and out with bright colors. While the sculptures and parks are open from mid-December to late February, this year’s festival had its grand opening today.
My Analogue Bucket List: Analogue Aspirations for 2013
To be a productive member of Lomography, I came up with this list to set my analogue goals straight. Hola 2013, I hope you’ll be great!
